New York, NY – June 7, 2023 – TALKRADIO 77WABC is proud to announce that the New York State Broadcasters Association (NYSBA) has awarded 77WABC with eight Excellence in Broadcasting Awards. Since its takeover by John Catsimatidis in March of 2020, the iconic call letters have gone through massive and ground-breaking programming changes. 77WABC has come out of the pandemic leading the industry in innovative programming and technological advancements, such as full audio/video capabilities in-studio and on location.

NYSBA bestowed 77WABC with eight Excellence in Broadcasting awards in the following categories:

- Sid & Friends in the Morning – (Sid Rosenberg – Best Morning Show)

- Election Coverage – (Rita Cosby, Dominic Carter, Noam Laden)
- Radio Pays Tribute to Fallen Firefighter Timothy Klein – (Best Use of Digital)
- Curtis Sliwa: Closing of Lenny’s Pizza – (Best Personality, Social Media)
- Other Side of Midnight w/Frank Morano & guest William Shatner – (Best Podcast)
