In the world of streaming, Disney holds a dominant position with it’s list of owned services. The future of Disney, however, may entail bringing those services together for a more complete Direct-To-Consumer experience.
As of May 10th, Disney CEO Bob Iger announced that Disney+ and Hulu will combine into a “one-app experience”. Both services will still be offered as standalone services, but will live under one application.
With 5,000 advertisers, the merge will help get more personalized ads to the right audiences throughout their streaming experience.
An official date has not yet been announced.
