Per a statement from Thursday, Netflix is making changes to their film division, and will be making less movies moving forward.

According to the company, this will help centralize the decision-making, but will result in layoffs for quite a few employees, along with several executives. Lisa Nishimura, a 15-year Netflix veteran, will leave the company alongside Ian Bricke, a vice president of the film division and a 10-year employee.

I will be interesting to see the future of the company as other competitors such as Disney continue to increase the number of original content produced each year.
