(New York, NY) – Five teenagers are being accused of climbing on the Brooklyn-side tower of the Williamsburg Bridge. Around 7:00 PM last night, cops responded to a 911 call concerning a group climbing on the bridge’s tower. The NYPD says four 16-year-old boys and one 13-year-old boy were eventually given summonses for criminal trespass.
Just under a year ago in April 2022, a 29-year-old man was taken into custody by police officers after he scaled the cables of the Brooklyn Bridge. That incident took place during morning rush hour and caused a traffic nightmare.
