(New York, NY) – The weekend weather forecast looks pleasant for New York City, meaning plenty of people will be out and about looking for stuff to do. Theater fans should consider the Museum of Broadway, which just opened in November of last year. Maggie Alleva, Kathy Wu, Ricky Fernandez, and Kevin Landry of WABC’s video team produced the following video that captures the museum’s spirit.

The museum, located in Midtown at 145 West 45th Street, features two floors packed with memorabilia. You’ll find a little red dress from “Annie” and a pair of “Kinky Boots.” Elsewhere, there’s puppets and masks from “The Lion King.” An authentic set from the 1990 classic “Rent” will bring visitors back to the East Village 30 years ago. Or, if you want to get up and move, follow step-by-step choreography from “West Side Story.”

Two friends who connected over their love of Broadway while studying at USC in 2004 hatched the idea. Resident historian, Ben West, worked on getting the place put together since 2019. Tickets cost $39 per person, plus taxes and fees. But on the first Tuesday of every month tickets cost just $25.
