(New York, NY) – Polling data suggests New Yorkers are less than thrilled with the city’s direction. The Quinnipiac University survey found just 37% approve of Mayor Eric Adams’ performance so far, with 43% disapproving. Two in 10 offered no opinion. Five separate crime issues got negative scores. Overall, respondents most strongly disapprove of Adams’ record regarding crime and homelessness. More than 6 in 10 identify crime as a serious problem for New York City, which is down 8% year-over-year. Seven in 10 say the city is experiencing a migrant crisis and that there’s no room left for new arrivals.
