A NYC Man Charged with Attempted Murder Following a Shooting in Harlem

New York, NY (77WABC)- A Manhattan man faces attempted murder and other charges in the shooting of a 37-year-old man during a dispute on March 8th of last year in front of 553 Lenox Avenue in Harlem.

Investigators say 35-year-old Alexander Ford of 2071 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan became involved in a verbal argument with another man which escalated into a physical confrontation.

Police say Ford allegedly discharged a firearm striking the victim in his legs.

The injured man sought treatment at Harlem Hospital and has since recovered.

Ford was arrested January 31st and charged with Attempted Murder, Attempted Assault and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon (a firearm).
