no one matched the five white Powerball numbers or the five white Powerball numbers with the powerplay.
Wednesday’s winning Numbers are: 17, 38, 20, 9, 40 with a Powerball of 18.
The lottery’s website indicates the estimated top tier jackpot for Saturday night’s drawing is $572 million dollars.
The rising total comes on the heels of a lucky player in Maine who recently won the $1.35 billion mega millions jackpot. That was the second-largest jackpot in the history of the game.
Each play costs $2 or $3 with the Power Play option (originally, Powerball plays cost $1; when Power Play began, such games were $2).
The official cutoff for ticket sales is 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time; some lotteries cut off sales earlier.
Powerball drawings are held on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday nights at 10:59 pm at the Florida Lottery’s studio in Tallahassee.
The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot by matching all numbers with the five white balls and red Powerball drawn are 1 in 292,201,338, according to the lottery.
