UNDATED (77WABC)- A Staten Island family wants answers after learning their son was shot and killed while vacationing in Chile.
38 year old Eric Garvin was shot multiple times in Santiago during a robbery on January 14th . U.S. officials confirming the death of the Stapleton resident.
Silive.com says U.S. officials are “closely monitoring” local authorities’ investigation into the cause of death. According to reports he was just steps away from the Airbnb rental he was staying in at the time.
The family traveled to Chile to meet with investigators who say there is video of the shooting.
