NEW YORK -(77WABC)- A single engine plane which departed JFK late Thursday afternoon crashed in Westchester County. Air traffic controllers had lost contact with the plane at around 6:15 pm, less than two miles from the Westchester County Airport in White Plains. Officials say the plane was headed to Northeast Ohio with two people reportedly on board. The pilot had radioed word of engine trouble before the crash Search and rescue teams were immediately deployed. The NTSB and FAA are currently investigating the crash.
