On Sunday the Giants and Vikings will meet for the second time this season. The first meeting between these two teams came in week 15 and it was a good one. With less than two minutes to go, Saquan Barkley scored a touchdown and the Giants got the two-point conversion to tie the game at 24, but the Vikings answered back with Greg Joseph nailing a 61-yard field goal to win it for Minnesota 27-24. This was one of the best games of the year and I don’t think this weekend’s game will be any different. The Giants are a very confident team and are well-rested after not playing their starters in week 18. After being hurt each of the last two seasons Saquan Barkley is having a breakout year with 10 touchdowns and 1,312 rushing yards which is top 10 in both categories, Daniel Jones has showed why he deserves to be the Giants starting quarterback going forward and has built a good rapport with wide receivers Isaiah Hodgins and Darius Slayton. Hodgins has caught 37 passes for 392 yards and four touchdowns this season while Slayton has made 46 receptions for 724 yards and two touchdowns.
On the flip side, the Vikings finished the year with a 13-4 record winners of the NFC North but none of that will matter if they don’t get the job done in the playoffs. Star wideout finished first in receptions with 128 and first in receiving yards with 1,809 yards. Jefferson also had 8 touchdowns. Jefferson’s quarterback Kirk Cousins had his best season yet with the Vikings throwing for 29 touchdowns to 14 interceptions. Cousins also threw for 4,547 yards which was good for fourth in the NFL. I think the Giants will go on the road and upset the Vikings 30-27.
