STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (77WABC) — Two children were killed and two were injured critically in a house fire on Staten Island Friday morning.

The FDNY says the fire broke out in the home on Van Duzer Street in Grymes Hill just before 10:20 a.m.

Two more children were treated for non-life threatening injuries. According to ABC7, firefighters say all six victims were children between the ages of 5 and 14.

The fire was considered “all hands,” meaning twelve FDNY units and 60 firefighters were on scene. According to an FDNY post on Twitter at 11:18 a.m., the fire — which was on the second floor of the three-story home — was brought under control.
