Three Dead Including Two Teenagers in a Crash on Long Island

HOLTSVILLE, N.Y. (77WABC) — Suffolk County police say a crash in Holtsville last night killed the 16-year-old driver, a 17-year-old passenger and a second passenger.

Detectives from the  Sixth Squad detectives are investigating the crash on Division Street. They say the vehicle driven by 16-year-old Cem Gunes of Holtsville left the roadway

and crashed into a wooded area at 9:43 Wednesday night. Gunes and a 17-year-old male passenger, Taylor Beltramini of Moriches and a second unidentified passenger were pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.

Police say the vehicle was impounded for a safety check.

The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information on this crash to call the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.
