NEW YORK (77WABC) — Firefighters rescued two people who fell three stories down an elevator shaft at a Bronx Target store Thursday.
Police say a male employee in his 20’s was escorting a 16-year-old boy out of the store when they got into a scuffle and bumped into the elevator doors which opened up, causing both to fall in. Firefighters removed the teen quickly but the employee somehow slid in between the shaft and the cab.
The boy was taken to Harlem Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The employee is being treated at Lincoln Medical Center.
