NEW YORK (77WABC) — Good Morning America co-anchors Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes are off the air.
It follows reports of their long-time extramarital affair. Co-anchors Stephanie Ramos and Gio Benitez manned the desk in their place.
Page Six confirmed early Monday that ABC News chiefs decided to take the couple off the air because their scandal became too much of a distraction.
ABC News president Kim Godwin added that while Holmes and Robach’s alleged affair was “not a violation of company policy,” the decision to pull them temporarily was necessary for the “Good Morning America” brand as a whole.
