NEW YORK (77WABC) — New York City’s premiere comedy club “Caroline’s” is closing its doors in Times Square for good.

A statement from founder and owner Caroline Hirsch says “after 30 wonderful years at our location in Times Square, we have decided not to renew our lease. Our final shows will be on December 31. We will also continue to grow the New York Comedy Festival throughout the city and the country.”

Caroline’s hosted some of the biggest names in show business such as Jerry Seinfeld, Billy Crystal and Robin Williams.
