(77WABC) — Air travelers who have yet to upgrade to so-called REAL ID’S are getting more time to do so.
The drivers license update will be extended to May 2025.
U.S. travelers 18 and older taking domestic commercial flights in the United States, must have a REAL ID-driver’s license or other state photo identity card. It’s marked by a star on the top of the license card.
Passports will still be accepted. The ID will also be needed to access certain facilities.
