NEW YORK (77WABC) — Its a new day and a new terminal at JFK airport.
A bigger and more passenger friendly Terminal 8 is opening its doors on Thursday. Terminal 8 has been home base for American Airlines at JFK, but now American will share the new terminal with British Airways.
The $400 million dollar renovation includes new features with more wide-body gates, and a state of the art baggage handling system. Officials says this will result in hourly service between JFK and London, which is one of the most heavily traveled routes at the airport.
