WASHINGTON (77WABC) — President Joe Biden and his family are back from the island of Nantucket where they spent the holiday weekend with close family, including Biden’s son Hunter who is expected to be a target of House Republican investigations in the next two years.
When asked by reporters about another run for the White House in 2024, Biden gave no definitive answer. Politico is reporting that California Gov. Gavin Newsom will not challenge Biden for the 2024 Democratic nomination—should Biden declare.
The Biden-Harris White House holds their first state dinner of the administration on Thursday. French president Emmanuel Macron arrives at the White House Tuesday.
The state dinner will highlight long-standing ties between the United States and France and honor President Macron.
