QUEENS, N.Y. (77WABC) — It was 10:15 at night on Tuesday Nov. 15th when police say armed gunmen entered the Cloud Zone Hookah Smoke shop at 539 Nostrand Avenue demanding cashat gunpoint.Police say several suspects went behind the smoke shops counter and pistol-whipped a 33-year-old male employee before forcibly taking approximately $900 in cash from inside the store’s register. The armed gunmen also made off with the store’s safe containing an undetermined amount of cash and CBD Cigars worth approximately $6,000.
The suspects fled with the stolen goods northbound on Nostrand Avenue.
The employee who was pistol-whipped was treated by EMS at the scene for a laceration and redness to his head.
Police say they are asking for the public’s help in identifying two male suspects that police think are between 25 and 35 years of age. The following video released by the NYPD is from inside the Smoke Shop:
