NEW YORK (77WABC) — It appears Pete Rose will remain out of baseball and the Hall of Fame.
MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred refuses to lift the lifetime ban on Rose gambling on baseball. Rose had written a letter to Manfred begging for forgiveness.
Rose who played for and later managed the Cincinnati Reds, was banned from baseball 1989. Rose in his letter to the commissioner had asked for consideration to the Hall of Fame.
