STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (77WABC) — Police say a man an a woman disappeared after bringing a dead 36-year-old man to Staten Island University South Hospital located at 375 Seguine Avenue Wednesday night.
According to police, hospital officials contacted them about a “suspicious DOA” (dead on arrival) brought to the hospital by a man and a woman shortly after 8 pm. Officers from the 123rd Precinct, were told that the man and the woman told hospital personnel the victim had a puncture wound to his upper right arm area. Upon further examination by hospital staff, it was found that the victim had a bullet lodged in his chest area; he was subsequently pronounced dead at the hospital.
There are no arrests, and the investigation remains ongoing.
The identity of the deceased is pending proper family notification.
