NEW YORK (77WABC) — The violence doesn’t end on the subway.
Police have confirmed to 77WABC that this morning around 9:30 a.m., a 29-year-old man was allegedly hit by another man with a sword still in it’s sheath. It reportedly happened in the stairwell of the Chambers Street subway near Park Place and Church Street.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition. Police say they are searching for the suspect — described as being dark skinned, wearing all black and a baseball cap with a Marvel comics logo.
It’s unclear whether the attack was random or there was some kind of dispute. Police say they are investigating the incident.
