BRISTOL, Conn. (77 WABC) — More than $300,000 has been raised for two Connecticut police officers killed last week while responding to a 911 call regarding a domestic disturbance.
The money will go to help the families of Bristol Sergeant Dustin DeMonte and Officer Alex Hamzy. DeMonte’s wife is expecting their third child.
The funeral services for the officers will be held on Friday.
The public services for Dustin DeMonte and Alex Hamzy will take place at 11 a.m. at Pratt and Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field, at 615 Silver Lane in East Hartford.
