AMHERST, N.Y. (77WABC) — Police are investigating the stabbing death of student from Long Island on the campus of the University at Buffalo.
19-year-old Tyler Lewis of Baldwin was stabbed in the chest Friday night on campus road. He was a student at Buffalo State College, a different SUNY school.
University Police believe the stabbing was not random — stemming from a fight. Police in a statement say are looking for a person of interest — described as being between 19 and 22 years old. He was reportedly last seen with cuts across his face and wearing a blood-covered shirt.
Investigators believe at least four people may have been involved.
