Officers Shot Connecticut
Bristol, CT (77WABC) — Flags are flying at half staff in Connecticut for two Bristol police officers killed in the line of duty on Wednesday. Police Sergeant Dustin Demonte and officer Alex Hamzy were killed by a gunman, who reportedly called in a fake 911 call and then shot them both when they arrived.
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation has announced it will immediately pay off the mortgage held on the home of Sergeant Demonte. The 35-year-old was a 10-year veteran of the force, and leaves behind his pregnant wife and two young children. To make a donation to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation visit http://t2t.org
