PLAINVIEW, NEW YORK (77WABC) — Investigators say they’ve made a huge counterfeit merchandise bust on Long Island worth more than $40 million.
Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder says 31-year-old Lindsay Castelli was selling bootleg merchandise at her store Linny’s Boutique on Old Country Road in Plainview.
Police say there were 22 printing press machines and bogus designer labels. The items include fake Gucci, Chanel, Prada and Louis Vuitton, which were being shipped all over the country.
Castelli is out on bail and is due back in court next month.
