KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — Russian forces have carpeted Ukraine with a fresh barrage of missiles and munition-carrying drones. The bombardment on Tuesday came a day after strikes across the country killed at least 19 people in what the U.N. human rights office described as a “particularly shocking” attack that could amount to war crimes. Air raid warnings sounded throughout Ukraine in the morning and sent some residents back into shelters after months of relative calm in many cities. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was due to address the leaders of the Group of Seven industrial powers by videoconference Tuesday. Russia’s widespread attacks came in retaliation for a weekend explosion that damaged a bridge linking Russia to the Crimean Peninsula.
