Peace & Strength to Everyone Especially Bernie’s Family. We Will Miss You.
I feel like I lost a family member this morning when I heard the news on WABC. His brilliance and wit were beyond anyone on radio. His “ beat Bernie” segment worked because his knowledge of history was astounding. He not only knew the answer, but often added additional information to expand our knowledge. He cannot be replaced. My sincere condolences to his wife and children.

Long time listener since the 80’s. I feel like I lost a family member. Bernie was a humble, brilliant, clear, truthful thinker, with a lightening quick wit and tongue. In a cast of super funny characters, he was absolutely the most hilarious. There will never be another Bernie.
Who can forget Bernie’s great line, "Hockey is a racist sport. The only thing black is the puck, and they be slapping it around all game!"
When Imus went off the air, I was crestfallen. No one did a better interview. No one could tease the truth out of a politician like the I-Man. But at least we had Bernie (and Sid) to continue (to some degree) the Imus legend. Now, not only is Bernie gone, it’s as if Imus is gone all over again.
Bernie, thank you for so much great humor and commentary my entire adult life! You will be sorely missed but never forgotten!
Rest in peace brother! You were a good one!
My condolences to Bernie’s family and to his wabc family. He was the best. I listened to him since his early days with Imus. He was an integral part of Imus’ show and happily he got the opportunity to shine on his own for the genius he was. I will miss him dearly. Good rest his soul. Rest peacefully Bernie. 🙏🙏😢
Rest In Peace dear Bernie. Will miss listening to you on 770 AM WABC.
I’ve been a fan of Bernie since the Imus days. So glad he found his place with Sid. They were a great team. Will miss you Bernie. SenDing sympathies to his family and his other family @ ABC. RIP.🙏
I have listened to Bernard for over 30 years.
Beside the fact he was funny and a great radio host he was right on all the major issues of our time. While others opined on topics they were invariably proven wrong. I will miss him.
My condolences to his family and friends and he and Sid always make us feel like were part of that family. I assure you Bernard, you will be missed.
I was very sorry to hear this news this morning. My condolences go out to the McGuirk family, the Rosenberg family and the entire WABC radio family. He will be missed!
We were so sad to hear of Bernard’s passing this morning. I have been praying for him daily.
We began listening to him when he was the producer of the Imus show and enjoyed his commentary on O’Reilly’s Fox show. But we most enjoyed listening to him and Sid every morning. We send my deepest condolences to his family and to his colleagues at WABC. Rest in Peace.

Very sad day. My sincere condolences to Carol and the family.
For half my life I have been listening to Bernie in the morning. From the Iman days to now the #1 show with Sid. It’s like I lost a family member.
My deepest sympathy to his wife Carol, his son Brendan and daughter Melanie. He is now without pain and the struggle that cancer causes.

Bernie rest in peace as I’ve been a fan since the 80’s. Always enjoyed listening to you on Imus and then the Bernie and Sid show. Your humor and intellect was legendary that will be missed but never forgotten and mission.

The radio in my truck isn’t all that good but when I could get you and Sid I enjoyed the way the two of you would laugh and feed off each other. Rest in peace your passing is our lost and heaven’s gain. Amen

Very sad to hear. Followed Bernie over the years loved hearing his perspective on world issues and sense of humor. Also enjoyed knowing that a kid from the Bronx could reach out to many listeners with is insightful thoughts. God Bless Bernie and his family.
Radio will never be the same, I loved listening to Bernie, one of the smartest, funniest and most articulate guys on radio. My heart is broken. RIP Bernie!
Dear Bernie: Thank you for your company on my morning drive.
Bern, loved you for 3 decades. I will miss you greatly. Thank you Sid for loving Bernie like we did.
Thank you Bernard for all the years of great radio you provided. My sincerest condolences to your family and to your WABC radio family. Special condolences to your radio partner Sid. May God bless you all and give you comfort in your hour if need.
Bernard was a great man, with a stellar career. He grew up at the same time as myself in South Yonkers, and I felt like he was my brother. I listened to Bernie and Sid every morning on the way to work, and I describe him as a strong voice crying in the liberal wilderness. May he rest in peace. My condolences to his family. He will be missed.
Rest In Peace .. from our humble beginnings in the Projects in the Bronx to such a successful career. You fought
valiantly like a true New Yorker
My condolences to the McGuirk family. Started listening to Bernie with Imus. Continued enjoying Bernie when he teamed up with Sid. He was a great and compassionate man. Never pulled punches and always spoke his mind. He will be missed but thought of often. Rest in peace.
I have the utmost respect for anyone that speaks his mind and tells it like it is. Thank you Bernie for being that guy. We will miss you. Rest In Peace and my family condolences to your family.
This doesn’t belong and we all know why. RIP
Glad you went out #1
See you on the other side.
Years ago I wondered what my morning drive would be without Imus and his crew including Bernie. Then in the last couple of years I could only listen to Imus for a few minutes as in the end all he did was b*tch about people and how he felt. Lo and Behold Bernie and Sid came along. Never once did I hear Bernie complain. Everyday he brought me laughter and joy. Bernie you are one in a million and I hope you’re in heaven having a raucous time with all the Cardinals gone before you. Thank you and God bless
So saddened by his passing. Condolences to his family and WABC radio family who we listen to daily. Even though we will not hear his comforting voice anymore, his words will live on. Truly one of the great men of this city! God Bless!
Bern, loved you for 3 decades. I will miss you greatly. Thank you Sid for loving Bernie like we did.
