What a great talent. What a loss. Our best to his family.
Losing our Bernie is an immeasurable loss to all of us, but how painful for his father, his wife and all his family. The children should not be forgotten as they really needed him. I have listened daily to Bernard since he was with Imus until the last day he broadcast with Sid from his home. His values, morality, faith, loyalty, knowledge and humor were above reproach, and he clearly acknowledged times in his life that he said he was not proud of. A true Christian man who dearly loved his father, his wife, his children and his life work. Devastated but as Sid said he is no longer in pain or suffering. God bless all of Bernie’s family. I will always remember what a special man he was.
Bernie was a true Christian mentor and witnessed to Sid and staff and thousands of listeners who will miss him . God blessed us with him, Jesus is the only way ! RIP Bernie we will see you again!
Oh gosh … so sorry to hear this about Bernie. I drive to work at 5:30 am central time and accidentally came across the Bernie & Sid Show. That was about four years ago. And, from that day I was hooked. Monday thur Friday I listen intently. Even while at work with my ear buds in. I was praying each day for Bernie to beat this horrible cancer. My prayers go out to Bernie’s Family & to Sid. Sincerely Jean from Winneconne Wisconsin
God Bless Bernie, I believe that our Great Father Christ all Mighty brought you to Heaven because your life’s work was done. Now you can sit with the lord in Peace 🙏🙏
I thank you Bernie for all the years that you gave your listening audience. You were a calming and reasonable voice on radio and will be sorely missed. My condolences to the McGurk family and loved ones. My God offer you peace and comfort knowing that Bernie is with him and no longer suffering.
Amen
Bernie……The best of the best.

I was praying for a miracle but our Lord wanted him more than we needed him. He was the epitome of a class act . Always the smartest one in any room but could make me laugh more than anyone.
He and Sid were the best team ever. I am from South Jersey but listened every morning.
My sympathy to Carol, Brendan and Melanie. Bernie always told the world how much he loved each one of you.
My mornings will never be the same. RIP dear Bernie you will be missed more than you know. ❤️🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻❤️
I listened to Bernie nearly every morning for the past four years. He was my morning buddy and I love doing the beat Bernie contest. I am heartbroken. My heart goes out to his wife and children. I could tell he was a lovely man. A breath of fresh air. I will miss him very very much
Bernie may God Bless you, always enjoyed listening to you, loved hearing your voice – you ‘are’ a kind and gentle man with intelligence and a sense of humor. Your loss breaks the heart as if you were a close friend and/or family. You will be missed. Doris
I worked with Bernard at WNBC Radio from when he first started there until the end of 1987. He was the type of person who would always have your back and be honest with you. He came up from a tough background and had great success. Bernard’s humor and way of looking at life is what I will remember most.
I send my condolences and prayers to his wife Carol, whom Bernard met at WNBC, and his children. R.I.P. Bernard
So sad. I listened often the past few years and always enjoyed Bernie. And I am a Democrat anti-Trump. Rest In Peace, Bernie you were a good guy
Deepest condolences on Bernie’s passing. His passing has brought forth the feelings of losing a friend.
May God welcome him into his arms.
Bernie was a patriot and a fantastic broadcaster. I will miss him on the radio. His humanity and his amazing knowledge and humor.
One of the best people to grace this planet was Bernard McGuirk!
I assure you all that his memory will never fade.
My heartfelt condolences to the McGuirk family who I’m certain are outstanding and wonderful people!
I will miss him dearly!

I am so heart broken to hear this news about Bernie.Being a local Long Islander (West Hempstead)and knowing when Bernie spoke he was a man that represented so many of our thoughts that are challenging us today
I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer just before Bernie and my prayers were with him every day. I am a long time listener
of his way back with Imus ….Love the Man
And was so proud that he and Sid took it to where it is today …
Sid …do it well ,Bernie is with you
God Bless the McGuirk Family
I am so sad to hear of Bernie’s passing. I will miss his humor and intelligence. Bernie along with Sid were a fantastic team. I feel like I lost a friend. RIP Bernie. 🙏🙏❤️ My condolences to his family.
I never spoke to him, but I felt bonded to him because of his humor and intelligence, and his love of books and American History. He was a fighter for America . You will be missed Bernie. Feels as if I lost a dear friend. And poor Sid. His grief; I cried to hear him talk about Bernie. As who would not. A great loss to all who love this country.
My dearest Sid,
Please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of Bernie. I cannot mend your heart.
My heart is broken. I can only imagine your grief.
I hate weekends only because when I first open my eyes and I realize what day it is
I get depressed and go back to bed. You and Bernie were my coffee mates. Listening to you guys and agreeing with almost everything you said and learning so many new things was the highlight of my everyday.
Sid, I’ve gotten to love you just for your heart and your emotion that you have no qualms about expressing. I’m older than Mom, Naomi, and I consider you like a son. You and Bernie. Two good men…..and now one of you is gone.
The last public figure I actually cried out loud about was JFK….and I cried the same for Bernard. I never thought it would happen. A world without Bernie. Everytime you cry, I cry with you. My son has multiple myeloma and is being treated at Sloan every week. It has been almost a year and he is recuperating at home….so he was following and rooting for Bernie as was I.
Please talk about him often, so no one ever forgets what a shining light he was in the broadcast industry. Remain strong, Sid. I remember Harvey Rosenberg because of you.
Keep the candle burning brightly.
I love you, Sid.
and I consider you like a son.
My husband & I loved Imus and especially Bernie. My condolences to his family, and God Speed. You were a shining light.
One of the things I most love and miss about New York City – WABC radio and Bernie and Sid – all the memories are a blessing – well done Bernard McGuirk – yours is a life well lived
So sad to hear. A huge loss for NY radio. Really enjoyed listening to Bernie on Imus all those years. He will be missed! R.I.P. Bernie.
You felt like a long lost cousin. I from Ossining and visited Dannemora as my friends dad was assistant warden. Both places you visited but you overcame those stops to become such an icon.
You and Sid were talk radio music.
My favorite is your comment about Joe Biden, crapping n napping. I made the bumper sticker “Krapping N Knapping, Let’s Go Brandon in your honor
Peace to your family and thank you for your entertainment for years.
PEACE
I am so sad to hear of Bernie’s passing. I will miss his humor and intelligence. Bernie along with Sid were a fantastic team. I feel like I lost a friend. RIP Bernie. 🙏🙏❤️ My condolences to his family.
So sad to hear of his passing!
I grew up with WABC and want to

I am honored to become a part of the WABC family and his voice will
forever be heard in the minds of many!
With love to all!
God speed Bernie. One of a kind. It’s like losing a family member. Exceptional human being. Deepest condolences and prayers to the McGuirk family
Rest in peace Bernie and may God give strength to you family, friends, loved ones and fans
My day began with Bernie since 1986. I looked forward to starting my day with Bernie his humor , his political thoughts. Bernie was solid person we all will feel his loss. To Carole ,children and John, Margo and Sid my sympathy and prayers.
Your voice will be missed!
LOL is a phrase that gets used too often, but Bernie, thank you for the countless times you made me literally laugh out loud. We never met, but I feel as though I’ve lost a friend I’ve had for over 30 years. RIP
Bernard gave us 30 or 40 years of intelligent high class comedy.
The laughter he made took the sting out of my bad days. I will always be grateful to him for that. The ability to make laughter is a great gift from GOD.
I want to thank Bernard for sharing his gift with us all.
He most certainly was unique.
He is at peace with GOD. The best place to be.
As long as we keep him in our hearts and souls, Bernard will always be with us.
Thanks Bernie.
Men, do not let Bernie’s death be in vain! Get tested early….
Good job faithful servant.
When I heard the news yesterday I felt as though I’d been punched in the gut. I felt like I lost a friend even though we’d never met. I did speak to him on the phone once when I played “best Bernie” and when I tied him it felt like a victory because of how good he was. My sincerest condolences go out to his family and the whole WABC family.
Like so, so many others, I am heartbroken at Bernie’s passing. My husband and I moved to Texas two years ago to be near family and "Bernie and Sid in the Morning" was my link to "home." If a major event happened in our country or the world, I couldn’t wait to turn on the radio in the morning to get Bernie’s opinion and insight. As an Irish Catholic girl from the Bronx, I also felt great pride that "one of our own" had earned such well-deserved success. Sincerest condolences to Carol, his children, father and colleagues at WABC. I know Sid, another special talent, will continue to do a wonderful job. May the road rise up to meet you, Bernie. We’ll miss you more than words can say.
In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost – Bernie’s the Host we will miss the most.
Irreplaceable. May he rest in peace.
My deepest condolences to Bernard’s family. I will miss him very much on the Bernie & Sid Show every morning. I only hope Sid can keep the radio show in first place as it was with Bernie.

My sincere condolences to his wife and children
Listened every morning…still do.

I have been a fan of Bernies going back to Imus and more recently with Bernie and Sid. He was an extraordinary talent and will be missed by all. Rest in piece my friend..
Another piece of NewYork has been chipped away on our earthly plain. We shall meet again with our Lord Jesus Christ. Peace.
