  1. Sending my love to Bernie’s family during this difficult time. May you Rest in Peace Bernie. Thank you so much for the many great mornings listening to you via stream here in Georgia. Your work with Sid and the WABC team always made me feel like I was spending time with friends.

  2. RIP Bernie. Im 87 & have been listening to you & the Cardinal on Imus & Bernie & Sid for over 30 yrs. I will miss you. God Bless.

  3. Rest In Peace Bernie, you’ll be greatly missed by all of us. You were strong man with a big heart, not the mention you’ll always be the soul of WABC.
I will always remember having the honor of talking to you once. when I called in to “Bernie and Sid” you were as gracious as anyone can be!
I know you are watching over Sid, and your presence will on WABC will always be felt by all of us.

  4. Bernie was a plain-spoken, common sense reasonable person — a conservative, but that is repetitive because that is what conservatives are. He said it like it was. With 90%+ of the media going woke, it was comforting to hear his voice every morning. It was like "Thank god there are still a few sane people left in this world." I will miss his voice.

Sid, you must carry on with the fight. You are doing an awesome job. God bless you

  5. Bernie you left us way to soon felt like I lost a dear friend wish I could of met you in person .We are all going to miss you .
    God bless your family ❤️❤️

  6. My husband and I were shocked to hear of Bernie’s death and immediately were sad for this loss and for the end of an outstanding partnership with dear Sid Rosenberg. We will greatly miss the segment, "Can you beat Bernie….Bernie reads a lot of books…" I came into the area from another state and my husband insisted, you have to listen to 77. WABC has become my new home station – we’ve even picked up the shows on radio above Lake George, NY. You are a great radio family – may you keep Bernie’s spirit and intelligence alive through your programming, top quality staff and love for one another and your listeners.

  7. Thank you Bernie. Been listening for a very long time. When Imus retired i was worried that i would not have my morning radio team with me that i had listened to for over 25 years. Knowing Imus was the kingpin but truly understanding he was so good because of people like you Charles, Rob, Lou, Mike, Bo, Warner and so many others he put around him. Transitioning to Bernie and Sid was seamless. You guys understand people and know how to keep us tuned in. I do feel like i have lost a friend. Peace to you and your family.
    Thank you my friend. PEACE!!!!

  8. I’ve loved Bernie going way back to his days on Imus in the Morning at MSNBC. His wit and wisdom are going to be profoundly missed. My deepest condolences to his family. Rest in Peace, dear Bernard.

  10. To The Family and Friends of Bernie..I had the pleasure of meeting Bernie about 4 years ago, and immediatly knew there was a special light shining over this man..charisma charm backed by brains. I am so sorry he has passed, but I am sure his spirit will live on inside of all those who loved and knew him well, kindness, and humor is contagious when we surround ourselves with positive people like Bernie. May we all keep some of his spirit within us.

  11. You and Sid got me through the lonely early months of Covid quarantine. Not only laughing but feeling less alone. Heaven just got funnier. My condolences to your family.

  14. Loved Bernie on Imus all those years! I walked many a mile on the treadmill laughing, while being entertained and informed. I was so glad to find him and Sid a few years ago and pick back up where they left off, while moving forward. Such a rare wit and mind Bernie had. I will always remember him and pray for his soul. God Bless.

You were a bright spot in my morning, always entertaining, super informative, and smart as hell, and I give you so much credit for trying to wake people up to what’s going on in this crazy world. I hope your family knows how much good you really did in this world. Rest In Peace Bernie, you will forever be in our hearts.

  18. Mayor Ray Nagin, passing out tall boys interviewing locals outside Yankee stadium – telling Imus he was so ugly his face needed to be spackled!! The Cardinal. You were a gift from God. And now God has taken you back. Incredibly sad for your family and fans. But so grateful to have been in your presence since 1986 Rest In Peace dear man. ❤️

  19. God Bless You Bernie, and God Bless Carol, your children, friends, and your family of listeners. My mornings will never be the same without you. You gave me knowledge, love, and a huge sense of humor. And God Bless Sid, we will get through this together.

  20. So incredibly sad. May you rest in peace Bernie. God Bless you and your family. My morning drive will not be the same. It was a pleasure to listen to you and Sid each weekday morning. Such a great team. Thank you for the entertainment and insight. My condolences to the McGuirk family, your WABC family and all your listeners. God Bless…

  21. Rest in peace Bernie my thoughts and prayers are with the family and the ABC family and listeners. I have been a fan from Georgia its a very sad day. God has a new radio host now alone with Imus and Rush.

  22. RIP Bernie, from a fan of yours for many years.
Your intellect, quick wit, humor, and talent are unparalleled.
May God Bless your soul, your wife and family. Friends near and far, known or unknown, and the millions of people you have entertained and informed during your long, storied career have lost a kindred spirit.
May the Lord Bless and keep you…

    1. Living in the south I listened to Imus and Bernie and then Bernie and Sid for years. I listened to Neil Boortz and now my mornings are empty. Rest in Peace

  23. Bernie’s strength and toughness combined with his sense of humor, his gentleness and humility, are rare qualities in one person. I was moved and amused hearing about how Bernie and Curtis would take care of homeless people in Penn Station during the ‘pandemic.’ I was surprised to hear about Bernie’s tough life, being raised in the projects, driving a livery cab in the Bronx, working through college, and having to go through many disappointments before finding so much success on WABC. I will miss hearing Bernie singing along off-key to his favorite songs in the morning, it always made me laugh. Love and deep condolences to his family. I will miss Bernie always.

  24. Although I often disagreed with his politics, Bernie was very smart and very funny. Bernie was the backbone of Imus’ show in its later years as any regular listener would attest. I miss him.

  25. Although i never met Bernie I feel like a lost a friend when i heard the news. As a listener for many years i had great respect for his talent, wit, and intelligence. RIP Bernie. Blessings to all your family and close friends, you will be missed

  26. From the beginning you earned my respect in the end I will never forget you R.I.P. dear friend.

    Deepest Sympathy to your family

  27. I woke up for at least 25 years to hearing Bernie’s voice. He was like a member of my family. I will miss him

  28. I’m grateful to have this outlet. A chance to say a simple thank you to Bernie for the years and years of political insight and information he provided. His humor -laser sharp & instantaneous. His humility. Not a hint of vanity. His impersonations & zingers. The Cardinal complete with FedEx envelope on his head. On & on
Bernie never bragged or went into deep detail regarding his family. That’s how I knew it was a secure & loving unit. He loved them so. He loved his home , beach, town , friends
A life that ended way too soon, but was very well lived. Thinking of B’s dad…

  29. I never had the pleasure of meeting Bernie, wish I had. My deepest condolences to His Wife Carol and his children. He will be missed by his listeners. Family &friends , a one of a kind man RIP . 🙏🙏🙏

  30. Rip Bernie. Making people laugh is one of the greatest gifts one can give to society. God bless your family

  31. A part of New York died this week. Enjoyed listening to Bernie with Sid. May god have Mercy on your soul. You were a pleasure in the morning and you will be missed. Your stories of being brought up in an Irish household, struggling to survive and how you turned it around.
Praying for you and your Family.
    God Bless.

  32. My deepest condolences to the Family of Bernie, to Sid and the WABC family. I have been an avid listener and the voice and convictions and brilliance of Bernie will be missed by us all.
"May the Road rise up to meet you, May the wind be always at your back, May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again May God hold you in the palm of his Hand"
    RIP Bernie

  34. As a long time listener I loved everything about Bernie. I loved his quick Irish Witt, his love if family, his smartes, his loyalty and integrity. His toughness. He seems like so many friends I know growing up in Levittown. I feel like someone punched me in the stomach. I can’t remember ever crying listening to the radio, but when I heard Bo Dietl and then Sid speak of what Bernie meant I cried like a baby. Good bless you Bernie and God ess your family.

  35. I am deeply sadden to hear the loss of Bernie. I enjoy everyday listening to you and Sid in the mourning on my way to work. You will be miss Bernie. May you rest in peace and my sympathies to his family. May God bless them all.

  36. I was an avid listener of the program. Curtis Sliwa hit the nail on the head when he called the chemistry between Bernie & Sid as "yin and yang". I appreciated Bernie’s insightful, well thought out and often acerbic commentary. Heartfelt condolences to the family.

  37. I will always remember Bernie for his wit, humor and general overall presence on Radio and Television. Condolences to his family and extended family at WABC.

  38. I’m devastated over this news. Bernie has been party of my morning radio ritual for over 30 years. First with Imus and then his show with Sid. I, like so many others, feel like we lost a brother. My heart goes out both to his immediate family. And radio family. MAN this is a tough one. Still has not sunk in. Love You Bernard

  39. Bernie you were part of our lives & we are so sorry to have you no longer with us but we know you are no longer suffering & in a better place now . Every car ride to school we had you on & throughout the morning . Myself and my 3 boys felt like you and Sid were part of the family . So many of your stories were our stories and you will be deeply missed . RIP Bernie and thank you for being you !

  40. Radio offers many a voice, rarely has one cut through for me with such honesty, integrity, humor, and reason. What a joy tuning in everyday to hear Bernie and Sid…there is a huge hole in the world of radio today. Prayers to family and friends!

  41. I am crying as I type this. Every morning, I listen to Bernie and Sid in the morning. Their entertainment and knowledge was and is my company. Bernies strength and courage inspires me in my life. His love for life, family, friends and our country will always stay with me. God rest his soul. God bless his family.

  42. Bernie was the best. I believe he saved my life. While commuting to work I was at a red light listening to Bernie on the Imus show. I was laughing so hard and lost in the show that when I looked up the light had already changed to green. I was just about to go when a huge truck ran the red light. If I had not been lost in the show I would have been dead. RIP Bernie💕

  43. Words can’t even describe how much I am going to miss you Bernie. You have been a part of my all the way back to the days of WNBC. Even though I never had the privilege of meeting you face to face, I’ve lost a dear friend. Thanks for everything

  44. Bernie You were in Heaven a half an hour before the devil knew you died. You will be missed.Told truth to power.
