  1. Thank you so much Bernie for the many years you kept my morning entertaining and informed. My condolences and love go out to your family, and the 77 WABC staff. Sid, thanks so much for being with us in Bernie’s absence; he would be happy to know you’ve done an excellent job!

  2. So so upset to hear about the passing of Bernie. What can I say. He was a man’s man. He had it all; intelligence, humor, good looks, prestige, credibility etc. Of course I have some of those traits also having grown up in Parkchester (Da Bronx). My sincere condolences to his family. Nobody should have to endure the pain and suffering this great person went through this past year. My prayers.

  3. Bernie you were an inspiration of strength and courage your story is the great
American story with hard work success can be achieved in this great Country May God hold
you in the palm of his hand for eternity I pray that your family will have the same strength
and courage to face live without you Rest in Peace

  4. My heart goes out to Bernie’s wife and children. Bernie along with Sid got me thru Covid. There will never be another Bernie. May he Rest In Peace, amen

  5. I have been listening to Bernie since way back when he was on "Imus in the Morning". There was never a funnier man than Bernie. I kept hoping and praying that Bernie would get well and be back. I will so miss hearing his voice. God bless the McGuirk family, and the WABC family. I shed a lot of tears yesterday, it still hurts this morning.

  8. So very sad about Bernie! Thirty years of listening to his wisdom and laughter will be missed. Is there any way we can get a playlist of Bernie’s music? He always loved One by Bono and Mary J Blige. Between Bernie and Rush we have lost 7 hours of common sense on the airwaves! RIP Cardinal😘❤️🙏

  9. I’m so sad to hear about Bernie’s passing, when I listened to Bernie on the radio it was like listening to a friend from my old block with tons of common sense, wisdom, NY charisma and super intelligent! He made listening to the radio like a breath of fresh, I cried on the corner when I heard this, My deepest condolences to his wife and children and even though you made us all feel like we did, you were Our New York Voice! Rest In Peace, May the Road Rise to meet you, May God hold you in the palm of his my friend ❤️🙏

  10. Huge condolences to Carol, Brendan and Melanie as well as the entire WABC family. Especially Sid. My heart is broken. I figured things were much more serious when Bernie hadn’t been on air for several weeks but I never imagined this would happen. When I turned on the radio yesterday and heard the bells ringing and heard Curtis speaking of Bernie in the past tense I immediately began to cry. Bernie and Sid have become a staple to me and even a necessity. They help me get thru my day. I’ve only been listening since they got their own show but I feel like I’ve known Bernie and Sid for my whole life. They are both so real and genuine. Bernie’s knowledge base has always been so impressive. His sincerity has been unmatched. WABC is in my opinion the best radio station out there but it will never be the same. I look forward to hearing Sidney on the radio again but I hope you take your proper time to grieve. I know how very special Bernie was to you. God bless and may Mr Miguirk Rest In Peace. 💔 😢

  11. I’m 74 years old. I sitting here in tears. I never called in, but was a regular listener since the early Imus days. Sid, you and Bernie made us part of your family. My sincere condolences to you, and Bernie’s family. He will truly be missed!!!

  12. I have many great memories of you from your years with Imus. You will truly be missed, God speed…

  13. I never met Bernie but yet I’m sobbing about his passing. His voice, his intellect, his humor were a part of my morning for so many years that I feel like I knew him. God bless his family as they go through this difficult time. Bernie, you will be sorely missed.

  14. Dear. Carol and family, I feel as though I have lost a very close friend. I loved Bernard very much and hurt for your family. I have been enjoying Bernard’s talents since 1989. I will miss him very much. We will all miss him and try to celebrate his life rather than mourn his passing. I know Bernard would want it that way. God Bless Bernard. Joe K

  15. My mornings were enlightened by your sterling brilliance and humor. Whatever happens when we leave this physical plane, my hope is that you will be escorted by a host of angels. GOD BLESS.

  16. I absolutely fell in love with Bernie’s voice when Imus came to WABC radio. Had to know what he looked like and was able to catch him on Bill O’reilly’s, The Factor. So heartbroken for his family, Sid, WABC and his fans that will miss him. He seemed to express my opinions so well, that I didn’t have to do the research to know what was going on in the world. He was able to break down a 2500-page bill passed by congress and let us know the pertinent sections of it. It was on his recommendation that I watched The Crown, since he said it was most historically accurate, and enjoyed it tremendously. As Sid stated, we are consoled by the truth that you are no longer in pain. Rest In Peace, dear gentle giant.

  17. Bernie,
Rest in peace. You are irreplaceable. THE best personality on radio. My condolences to the entire McGuirk family.

  18. Bernie you will always be remembered as the best in radio forever. There is no replacement for you. Condolences to Carol and the kids and all of Bernie’s friends and colleagues at WABC and the entertainment world. As the Cardinal said, “Goodnight and God bless!”

  19. I’ve found a lot of comfort in Bernie’s view of life and politics, in that order. The voice of a warm, intelligent older brother over the last few decades. I’m stunned I won’t be hearing him no mo’!

  20. You provided life in the morning for me & my family as well as all of my friends. Through the years with Imus. You will missed. Thank you.

  21. Thank you for the years you’ve given us and the strength you showed us in your fight. I know your wife, children & whoever was privileged to know you will always be proud of the man you were!
you will never be forgotten and always missed

  22. You were the funniest NY guy to listen to in the the car and office over many years
You will be missed, Rest In Peace

  23. The sound of Bernie’s voice has comforted my life for as long as I can remember. I’m so so sorry for the unbelievable loss to his family. His intellect, humor, and unusual kindness touched this world in a way that few do. He’s meant so much to this world. I pray that all the things people say about him will provide comfort and solace to those in his inner circle. Thank you for sharing him with us. We loved him so much too.

  27. You were an important part of my morning for over 25 years. You unique humor and incredible perspective on local national and world news cannot be replaced
You were much too young to leave us
God bless you and your family

  28. RIP "B" . You were a big part of my morning commute for 30+ years. Once a fan , always a fan. See you again soon my Bro.

  29. I am so sorry for the family of Bernie on loosing him. I grew up listening to WABC, and years later moving away. With internet radio I began a few years ago listening again and came across Bernie and Sid. They were so interesting together I started listening and loved their program. They were great together. I will miss his talent and the uniqueness of Bernie. He was truly loved by his fans. Thank You for sharing him with us.

  30. My Condolences to the McGuirk Family on the tragic passing of their Love one;
    Bernard
    Memory Eternal

  31. Bernie , you’re the reason I tuned in to Imus, your quick Irish wit and humor kept bringing me back , your “ Cardinal “ rendition was fantastic as was “ Who doesn’t belong and why “ I will truly miss hearing you on the airwaves and prayers for Carol and your children, Slainte’ ☘️

  32. Bernie, You’re in a better place, with Jesus. Please ask Our Lord to remove the luciferian Biden junta, & reinstate President Donald j Trump (the real winner of 2020. Bernie, May you rest in peace, Amen🙏❤️

  33. Loved you since your days on Imus. When you took over the morning spot with Sid, my mornings were made much better and easier to face. My heart is incredibly heavy knowing I’ll never get to hear your voice or brilliant insights again
I can only imagine how your family and closest friends must feel. Thank you for so many years of feeling like you were a daily part of my life.

I kept hoping you’d be back. All hope is lost.

  34. What can one say on the passing of a truly beloved broadcaster, when a reassuring, familiar voice is now silenced? I’m filled with a deep sadness and crushing emptiness, as I’m sure many WABC listeners are as well. Rest in peace. My deepest condolences to the family.

  35. Rest In Peace Bernie. I have been listening in to Bernie from Australia for the last 15 years. First Imus in the morning , then Bernie & Sid. Best radio ever. Condolences to the family & friends & to Sid & all at WABC.

  36. I live in Orange, California, and I listen to the Bernie and Sid podcast almost every day. I’d listened to Bernie for years on the Imus show on my television, which I would record on VHS at first, and then by DVR. Bernie was the best part of that show, and now we hear that he was indeed the linchpin of that show. And even though I moved from NJ over 30 years ago, I still needed to hear my favorite NY voices. Bernie will be greatly missed across the continent. May God grant comfort to his family, friends, and colleagues. Thanks to all at WABC for sharing his talent with us.

  37. Rest in Peace 🙏 Bernie I will always cherish my conversation with you …everyone loved you….Lena💔

  38. Sending Bernie’s family & friends our deepest sympathy at this sad time. Bernie was a daily part of our mornings for so many years. I hope you know how much he brightened our days and made us laugh even when we were sad!
Bernie & Imus are having their own fabulous
show in heaven right now!! Thank you for letting us have our mornings with Bernie for all those years!!! 💔🕊🦋

  39. My condolences to Bernie’s wife and children. And of course to Sid and the WABC family. Bernie was well loved by the listeners. And as expressed by so many already, Bernie was so well read and knowledgeable on so many topics it was a pleasure to listen to him. And the great friendship that Bernie and Sid had for one another made the show a great hit!! Bernie will be well-missed. May he Rest In Peace. And May the Lord’s healing touch help his family, friends, and colleagues through their time of grief…
