Been listening to Bernard for many years, including his time on Bill O’Reilly’s show on Fox. I always felt there was something very special about him. I listen every morning to Bernie & Sid..what an amazing duo!! It will not be easy for Sid to go on without his partner & best friend. My prayers are with Bernard’s family, Sid and all his friends & co-workers at WABC, RIP Bernard
Was worried for Bernie past weeks, very sad to see he passed , prayers for the McGuirk family,
Rest In Peace Bernard, you will be missed. You were a pleasure to listen to. You gave all the voiceless a voice. Condolences to his wife and children, Sid and family and also to the entire WABC Radio family
He was a stand up guy and he will be genuinely missed by all. Grateful to have had the opportunity to listen to him on WABC.
Bernie thank you for all your contributions to Radio and America in your short lifetime😀You have left a legacy for your family to be proud of and I offer them my deepest condolences in this time of sorrow but the fact that WABC AM Radio has carried on coverage all day in tribute to him🙏Next Tuesday, when there is a Mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral for you and the Station honoring your achievements 👏❤️😀👍BTW while you were going thru your treatment, which showed your true colors and bravery everyone was asking Sid “ Where’s Bernie” he now can tell everyone” In Heaven”🙏
Bernie you’ll be sadly missed loved all your work over the years you were a tough street guy from the Bronx with tons of common sense and a big heart Rest In Peace.
I am at a total loss for words. I awoke to Curtis, Chad & Frank speaking of Bernie I soon realized the Lord had called Bernie to his side. With Cats & Bo saying their goodbyes, it was the most emotional morning I’ve ever had. If I could be half the man Bernie was, my life would be complete. To a great human being and to all who loved him, hugs and sympathies.
I am so grieved to hear that our beloved Bernie has passed away. May he reside forever in paradise. My most sincere condolences to his wonderful family.
My sincere condolences… Bernie, thank you so much for letting me hear your heart through your voice! You will be sorely missed. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
We cannot pray for the dead, only the living.
All we can do is thank The Lord for him while he was here.
Thank you for your wisdom!
May god bless you as you continue your journey Bernie! Rest in peace. And may god bless and watch over your family at this difficult time. God speed!!!
Thanks for all the joy and entertainment you gave.
You will be missed by all
RIP
Why does it feel like I lost a friend? We are all worse off without Bernie. I pray for God to give Sid and the gang the strength to carry on Bernie’s work. Do it for Bernie!
He was one of my favorite parts of retirement, it give me the ability to listen to him everyday as opposed catching him for many years in between work.
I will truly miss his wit and incite on the changing times we now live in.
My deepest condolences to the family of Bernard McGuirk. I also feel bad for Mr. McGuirk for what he had to go through and leaving his family behind. I started listening to WABC within the last 1-2 yrs. Mr. McGuirk was so learned. He had so much knowledge about history that he shared with his listeners. I hope he knew how much people appreciated him. Sid always expressed his appreciation and love for Bernie on the show, and let the listeners know what a great guy Bernie was, so we developed a great appreciation of Bernie as well.
You made a young dumb kid stuck in mainstream media into a conservative. You brought me to the world of AM radio. I spent over a decade commuting every day to your insight, humor and overall balance to every show. I feel like I lost a friend today. I know I’m just a stranger throwing this into the wind here but thank you. Thank you for sharing your life with us. Thank you for your family for sharing your time with us. Thank you for just being a good and honest human. I will absolutely take part in the walk Curtis and John are putting together. Rest in peace Bernie… You will be missed
I was so sad to hear about Bernie’s passing this morning. I enjoyed listening to him every day. I appreciated his knowledge, his wit, his hard work and preparation to be as professional as possible. What a terrible loss! I feel like I lost a very close friend.
Bernie "beat me" 5 to 5. We tied. Before he came on, Sid told him I was a former Jeopardy contestant, and after our match we talked he said he kind of wish he lost.
I don’t know if St Peter is much of a sports fan, but if He thinks he’s gonna beat Bernie at the Pearly Gates on American history or baseball, he’ll be wrong.
Ave atque vale.
Way too young. Very sad. My condolences to the family
I listened to Bernie with Imis and thought he was extremely smart. Then when he went over to the mornings with Sid I listened to them, and when Bernie wasn’t on my heart kind of sank. I have a long commute to work, and Bernie reminded me of my brothers, who are also smart Irish men. I am still processing his passing; it feels more like a relative than a news guy. Today was a sad day.
RIP Bernie. I’ve been a fan of yours for as long as I remember. I grew up listening to Imus and you since the early days of WFAN.
You and Sid have been a mainstay the last few years and I’ve enjoyed having you front and center.
You are a stellar example of what a man is, should be and can be in this country. Father. Husband. Rational. Knowledgeable. Thoughtful. Communicative.
Rest easy in heaven – your legacy lives on.
So sad to say goodbye, Bernie. Thank you for all the years of great wit and content but most especially for your tremendous effort during the past 10 months to keep in touch with all of us and share yourself during that precious time.
So sorry for the loss of Bernie.

THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN NOW REPLACE THE LEGENDARY BERNIE …. Is Curtis sliwa ….
Who was instrumental in bringing Bernie and sid together……
May the four winds blow you safely home my friend…..!!!!
Bernard McGuirk was a voice for all of us for more than 3 decades. There are so many wonderful listening moments that I received from Bernie. From his epic portrayal of the Cardinal(complete with the Federal Express pouch made into the shape of a mitre), to his many one liners delivered to Imus and later on, Sid Rosenberg, to epic Bernie vs Sid boxing match benfiting the Imus Ranch for Children, the moments are too numerous to mention. Bernie was extremely funny, but at the same time, had a rare insight into the pulse of New York and indeed, much of America. He will be greatly missed on the air and in the community. My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife, his children(Go Villanova!) and his legion of firends both in real time and like me, a listener. May the road rise to meet you, Bernie!
Thank you for fighting the good fight for the people of New York and across the nation. You will be missed terribly. Rest In Peace
My sympathy to the McGuirk family, R.I.P. Bernie, They don’t make them like you any more !

RIP Bernie. I didn’t know him all that well until I retired early in 2016 and was thus home every morning lying in bed and enjoying "Imus in the Morning". Before then I only used to see him on Bill O’Rielly’s show occasionally and I’d hear him on Imus’ show for years before that whenever I was home from work. I found his irreverent impersonation of Cardinals Egan and O’Connor to be absolutely Hilarious. As a faithful life-long Catholic, it was a guilty pleasure. More recently, his partnership with Sid made for an excellent morning radio program. His easy-going wit, intelligence and , above all, his fantastic sense of humor always made the show very interesting, and was an excellent counterbalance to Sid’s bravado and somewhat caustic personality. Godspeed, Bernie, we hardly knew ye!
Oh, the memories! The laughs! Thank you isn’t enough. You had such insights and honesty. Rare traits these days. Prayers and blessings to those you leave behind, especially your family, as God welcomes you home.
Great man loved listening to him may he Rest In Peace
Some people make a difference just by being who they are. Their inner light shines bright and touches lives both near and far. And even when they’re gone, they still forever play a part in the smiles, the priceless moments that are treasured in the heart. Here’s to Bernie McGuirk, someone who made this world a brighter and better place. My deepest condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. I have been listening to Bernie since the early days of Imus in the Morning. An incredible talent and just all around gentleman. God Bless Bernard McGuirk.
To Bernard’s family….I’m deeply sorry for your loss. There will never be another Bernie. May his memory be a blessing to your entire family.
Thank you, travel well friend
I’m deeply saddened by the passing of this great man. Since the early days of the FAN in 1988, he always brought smiles to my face with his witty humor. Teaming up with Sid was the dream show we all longed for. It was then, that he not only still made me laugh, but also made me think and learn on the wealth of knowledge he had. My deepest condolences go to his wife, children and father. The WABC family and the million of fans that loved him like me. His best friend and partner Sid Rosenberg….so sorry my friend "strenght" I feel for you. Bernie was a great American 🇺🇲 R.I.P. my good man! 😥🙏🙏🙏
Condolences to the McGuirk family.
Bernie You were in our prayers for the longest time. God answered them today.
Rest in Peace
Heartbreaking news. Praying for God’s peace and comfort to all those in mourning.
I turned on the radio, heard Curtis talking about Bernie, and I cried, knowing he had passed. Hearing Sid speak about his partner broke my heart even further. I’m just an avid listener, but Bernie was a HUGE part of my life. He will be missed tremendously. I’m so happy he had his spot! I would listen to Imus to hear Bernie. My thoughts and prayers are with you guys and with his family. God Bless
God Bless Bernie. Le Meas, Terry O’Donnell
Bernie was a treasure, extremely talented, well educated, a man who didn’t stab anyone in the back, though he could have and a giant in New York radio. He will be greatly missed. RIP🙏🙏🙏
