First my deepest condolences to The Mcquirk family for losing such a great husband, dad and friend.I heard the news asI was laying in bed. I got a notice on my phone about Sid speaking at the 100th anniversary show and started to listen.
By the time I sat down in my living room and started to listen to today’s show I started to cry.
Curtis was great taking about Bernie and all the people who stabbed him in the back when he was going get his show in Boston ,among others Scumbag Sharpton Bigoted Obama who
got him to come onto the Imus show. These were the people calling him a racist ,an Irish kid who grew up in THE Bronx housing projects and drove a cab in horrible areas inNYC and later in Yonkers Thanks Curtis and for pointing out how Imus tried to keep him off the air!!!!
I will miss his tremendous wit, intellect and patriotism New York radio will never be the same I know how much he loved Sid and my heart goes out to you as you must carry on without your dear friend
I’ve loved and listened for 30 years I will miss you my brother

WABC radio is always on in my home, and this morning I was beyond shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of this great man.
He was the personification of a real New Yorker, and spoke from his heart regarding what life is like for the regular people of this city.
Brilliant, funny, spot-on in his assessments, and a role model for people turning their lives around.
Listening to Bernie and Sid got me through the pandemic, and I am forever grateful to them.
It was my good fortune to meet Bernie on two occasions in Long Beach, and I cannot emphasize enough how kind he was. The fact he took twenty minutes to converse with my parents and I, speaks volumes about the human being he is. The patient way he spoke with my Mom, allowing her to express her feelings about her love for him, and the world, is something I will never forget.
God bless you Bernie, until we all meet again.
So sad to hear the news of his loss
Benard, May you spend eternity in paradise.
Benard and Sid were the first to rally around the police and stand up for our country. I attached myself to the Bernie and Sid show because they wanted to fight back. I sincerely will miss you Benard. Carol and the kids I am sorry for you. You are always over the target, Bernie.77.Rich EM.💪🇺🇸
I will miss hearing is voice every morning on my way to work . In this day and age wen not much makes sense, this man gave people like myself hope for our country. God bless and rest in peace my friend. You will surely be missed.

I was extremely sad to hear the news this morning as I tuned-in on my morning drive. With a tear in my eye, I listened to Curtis tell some great stories of Bernie. Rest in Peace and god bless the McGuirk and WABC radio families.
Sincere sympathies to Bernie’s family and to his colleagues at WABC. He made my morning commute everyday tolerable. He will be sorely missed. Rest in eternal peace and thank you.
What can you say about Bernie!!!?? He was just a genius!! I spent so many days listening to him and Imus. Laugh out loud funny stuff!! The cardinal with the envelope on his head!! OMG
My heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the McGuirk family, friends and Bernie’s 77WABC family.
Bernard was only one year older than my brother. When I heard Curtis and Frank talking about Bernie’s passing this morning I broke down and cried my eyes out. I literally couldn’t stop crying, it was like losing a member of my family. I don’t know how I made it into work.
Bernie grew up in a similar situation than I did, mixed neighborhood, children from all backgrounds living together and going to school together. Public housing. We were all decent and kind to one another.
Bernie probably already has his own show in heaven for his fans who are already in heaven. I think of it this way, Bernie will have the best seat in the house for the World Series.
May you rest in peace Bernie. May G-d bless you. I will miss you.
Rest in Peace Bernie
Thank you for so many years of laughter and true news . Your voice will be sorely missed . So sad . May God grant you and your family comfort and peace
Deepest condolences to Bernie’s family, friends and colleagues. He was the main reason I’d listen to morning radio. He was a talented, great guy who’ll be greatly missed. (I briefly interacted with him years ago when he was a producer for Imus working at a Charity golf tournament in NJ; he couldn’t have been a nicer, regular kind of guy).
My heart breaks for his family, friends and Sid
He will be missed dearly by many people
I’ve been listening to him since 1988 😇

Always funny, always on point. To so many of us long time listeners, it feels like we lost a close friend. And that’s a rare connection to develop over the radio. I felt that I could always trust his analysis on the issues of the day and he never pulled his punches. And he did it with wit, charm, and humor. RIP, my radio friend.
He will always be The Cardinal to me

Bernie was among the best of us. Honest about his past, compassionate, respectful without fawning, smartest guy in the room, encouraging, hard worker at his craft and much beloved.
His love of family was inspiring.
Cardinal: “which doesn’t belong and why?”
My heartfelt condolences go out to the Bernie Mcguirk family and their brave fight together as one, because with this type of disease, everyone is affected. Bernie fought the fight but lost the battle, but you can never say he didn’t give it his all. Also, to all his radio family who will miss his presence each day going forward, what a great talent he had to help make the show number 1 in New York City. Sid, I heard you talk this morning about Bernie, and it was heartbreaking and emotional, sharing with the Radio world what a strong bond you had with him. Please be strong because he wouldn’t want any less from his Pal, keep the faith and keep the show going in his honor, I will be listening. God Bless.

I experienced the same health issue as Bernie. I understand all of the issues he dealt with trying to get healthy again. I was lucky I was diagnosed early and had successful results.
Bernie was a voice of conservative reason and will be missed. The USA needs more people like Bernie. His views are mine and I hope we have more people like Bernie come forward.
