NEW YORK (77WABC) — President Biden says Russian leader Vladimir Putin isn’t kidding about using nuclear weapons.
Speaking at a fundraiser in Manhattan Thursday night for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, Biden said Putin was “a guy I know fairly well” and the Russian leader was “not joking when he talks about the use of tactical nuclear weapons or biological or chemical weapons.”
Biden says the risk of nuclear “Armageddon” is at the highest level since the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis.
U.S. officials have warned Russia could use nuclear weapons in its war against Ukraine.
