NEW YORK (AP) — Bruce Springsteen is taking on the work of the Four Tops, Temptations, Supremes and other soul legends for a covers album that’s coming out in November.
The 15-song disc features two duets with singer Sam Moore. Springsteen explained that he “wanted to make an album where I just sang.”
Those who’ve seen his live shows know that he’ll frequently pull out a soul cover or two, particularly on the encores. Also on the disc, he’ll cover the work of Tyrone Davis, The Walker Brothers, Dobie Gray and Frankie Wilson.
The singer and his E Street Band are heading out on tour in February.
