BROOKLYN, NY (77WABC) — Police say the innocent victim of Wednesday night’s gunfire in front of 1225 Eastern Parkway has been identified as 17-year-old Shayma Roman of 1377 St. Marks Place in Brooklyn.
Investigators say Roman was hanging out with friends shortly before 6:30 pm when gunmen approached. Shots rang out and she was struck in her face by the gunfire.
She was rushed to Brookdale Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
There are no arrested and the investigation is ongoing.
