NEW YORK (77WABC) — Police say a man on a moped hit a woman who was jogging in Manhattan and then dragged her by a tree, sexually assaulting and robbing her.
The incident happened Saturday around 11 a.m. in Fort Tryon Park near the Henry Hudson Parkway and Tryon Place. Police say the creep punched the 35-year-old jogger in the face and threatened her with a knife before sexually assaulting her and robbing her of her watch and cell phone, worth about $630.
According to cops, the woman was taken to Harlem Hospital with injuries to her left eye, left arm and right leg.
The man is described as a male with a dark complexion, approximately 20-30 years old, approximately 6’1″ in height, with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with white lettering on the back that reads ‘Honor Thy Gift’, black jeans and black/white sneakers.
There are no cameras in the area so police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area during the time of the attack.
