(New York, NY) – An Upper West Side synagogue has told a local Republican club that it’s no longer welcome to hold an event there. The Society for the Advancement of Judaism canceled a rental reservation that was made for an event that was to feature author Dick Morris. Morris is a one time friend of former President Clinton, who is now a Republican. The synagogue rents space to a slew of other organizations. Leaders of SAJ say they canceled the GOP reservation because they believe Morris amplifies anti-Democratic ideas . The organizers of the Morris event are now scrambling to find a new venue.
