U.S.-NEW YORK-MIGRANT BUSES FROM TEXAS-ARRIVAL
NEW YORK (77WABC) — New York City is taking another look at long-standing procedures that stem from a law requiring the city to shelter undomiciled people — this according to the Mayor’s chief council Brendan McGuire.
The comment follows the arrival of more than 11,000 asylum seekers who’ve been bused from Texas. The city’s first asylum seeker resource navigation center has opened to help immigrants navigate the legal and education systems.
Migrants are being bused from Texas to Democratic sanctuary cities as the Lone Star state’s border towns are overrun with asylum seekers under the Biden administration’s open border policy. This has led to record numbers of migrants crossing the border.
