NEW YORK (77 WABC) — Stocks crashing on Tuesday as inflation may not be slowing down, at least not now.

The Dow fell nearly 1300 points — the worst day on the street since June of 2020.

Consumer prices surged 8.3% percent in August compared to a  year earlier.  So-called core prices excluding food and energy prices jumped 0.6% percent from July to August, higher than many economists had expected.
