(77WABC) — FBI officials reportedly told agents not to investigate Hunter Biden’s laptop for months — saying the bureau was “not going to change the outcome of the election again,” according to whistleblower claims made public Wednesday by Republican Senator. Ron Johnson.
The New York Post reported that according to Johnson, “individuals with knowledge” had told his office that “local FBI leadership” had slow-walked the laptop investigation after the computer was recovered from a Wilmington, Delaware repair shop in December 2019.
The new claims come after whistleblower allegations emerged in July that in the lead-up to the 2020 election the FBI labeled the laptop as ‘disinformation.’
Horowitz told Johnson in February 2021 that the Office of the Inspector General would not investigate the FBI’s handling of the laptop so as not to interfere with the DOJ’s investigation into Hunter Biden’s tax affairs.
