(Williamsport, PA) — (77WABC)- They gave it their all—-but it wasn’t enough. Massapequa’s Little League team is heading home to Long Island.
They were eliminated Monday from the Little League World Series after losing seven-one to Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania. The game in Williamsport, Pennsylvania was supposed to be played on Sunday–but was postponed because of rain. Mondays game had to be delayed because of rain. Massapequa was shutout by Honolulu 12-0 on Friday night.
Massapequa was the first team from Long Island to make the Little League World Series in more than 40 years.
