Video; A Suspect On the Run in an Assault Outside a Bronx Restaurant Leaving Victim Critical

Bronx, NY/(77WABC)-The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in an assault in front of the “Fuego Tipico Restaurant” located at 163 East 188th Street which left a man in critical condition.
Police say on Friday, August 12th, 2022 at approximately 10:45 on, police responded to a 911 call finding an unconscious 52 year old man  on the ground with trauma to his head.
Investigators say the victim exited the restaurant and was talking with several people when a man exited the restaurant. The man who exited the restaurant put on a pair of gloves and positioned himself behind the victim.  Without prior conversation or altercation, the man  punched the victim in the face before returning back into the restaurant before fleeing.
The injured man suffered a skull fracture, broken cheek bone and bleeding on his brain.  EMS responded and took the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, where he is listed critical but stable condition. An investigation is ongoing.

The unidentified individual police are looking  is described as an adult male, medium complexion, medium build and partially balding. He was last seen wearing a black pants, a black t-shirt and gloves.
