Today, Judge Sue L Robinson announced that new Quarterback of the Cleveland Browns Deshaun Watson would be suspended for six games due to sexual assault charges against him. This was a shock to many in the NFL world, especially after the Wide Receiver of the Atlanta Falcons Calvin Ridley was suspended for the entire season due to gambling on games last season. The NFL will have a chance to appeal the six-game suspension that judge Robinson handed down to Watson today. Judge Robinson explained her decision to only suspend Deshaun Watson for six games by saying in a statement that “Watson’s pattern of behavior was egregious but that there was nonviolent sexual conduct.” Watson will miss games, against the Panthers, Jets, Steelers, Falcons, Chargers, and Patriots to start the season. We’ll see how the Browns fare without him.
