Brooklyn, NY (77WABC)-The mother of a former candidate for Brooklyn Borough President was found dead inside of her home the evening of Saturday, July 23 rd.
Officers from the 67th Precinct responded to a 911 call of a possible assault inside of 361 East 45 Street at 7:23 pm Saturday. Upon arrival, police found 77-year-old
Elenora Bernard with bruising and swelling to her body. She is the mother of Khari Edwards a former candidate for Brooklyn Borough President.
EMS transported Bernard to New York Downstate Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
The Medical Examiner will make an official determination as to the cause of death. An investigation is ongoing.
