NEW YORK (77WABC) — The NYPD says they are searching for an attacker who tried to rape a woman in the East Village.
Surveillance video released by police shows the man that cops say attacked a 23-year-old woman inside her apartment building last Sunday at 11:40 p.m. near East 11th Street and Third Avenue. Police say he pushed her into her apartment and tried to sexually assault her before he stole her wallet and took off.
