WASHINGTON (77WABC) — A new poll from the New York Times and Siena College shows that 64% of Democrats do not want President Joe Biden to seek another term in 2024.
33 percent cited Biden’s age, and 32 percent cited his job performance as reasons why they felt Biden shouldn’t seek a second term. Conversely, 12 percent say they prefer someone new and 10 percent say Biden is not progressive enough.
Four percent cite his ability to win the next election, while only three percent say he does not have the mental acuity to do so.
The Biden administration has repeatedly said the 79-year-old Biden will run again.
