News: Fourth of July Parade Shooting in Chicago
HIGHLAND PARK, Ill. (77WABC) — More details are emerging about the psyche of alleged Highland Park, Illinois shooter Robert ‘Bobby’ Crimo III.
Crimo is charged with fatally shooting seven people during a July 4 parade and injuring dozens of others. Authorities say Crimo used the moniker ‘Awake 47’ on the online forum documenting reality.
Posts included rants against Jewish people, Black people and Asian people. Crimo also denied the Holocaust happened.
He also shared a haunting picture of his teenage sex doll ‘Sophie’ hanging herself in his closet with a caption, “I don’t understand why.”
Investigators are probing why Crimo’s father sponsored his son’s firearms purchases after being labeled a clear and present danger by police following two incidents in 2019. According to DailyMail, Documenting Reality founder and site moderator Chris Wilson said he was cooperating with police.
