After struggling to start off the season the Atlanta Braves have now rattled off 12 wins in a row to get within 5 games of the Mets. Atlanta’s best player Ronald Acuna started off the season on the injured list but now is healthy and playing great baseball. Everyone knew that the defending champion Atlanta Braves would get hot at some point, but no one knew that they would get this hot. The Braves however have played some of the worst teams in baseball in the Rockies, Athletics, Pirates and Nationals but they’re capitalizing on an easy schedule. After playing the Nationals two more times the Braves will go to Chicago to play the Cubs who is another team that is having a bad season so far. It will be interesting to see how the Braves do once they start facing some of the best teams in the National League like the Mets, Dodgers, Padres, and Giants. In last night’s game Ozzie Albies suffered a fractured left foot which will keep him out for a while but The defending champion Braves are a team to look out for this year and I think will be a force to be reckoned with come playoff time.
